L1B to H1 Transfer Query

Hi,

I have applied for H1B visa through company A in 2008 April. I got my H1B petition approved with I-94 attached with it for next three years.

But i didnt join the company till now.

I am still using my L1B visa of my existing company. I have also traveled to India in November and came back to US with my L1B Visa and got my I-94 till March.

i am planning to quit my current company and join company A with my H1B petition.

Is my H1B petition and I-94 came with my H1B Petition still valid?

Will i be able to join Company A now?

I heard from my company A that some amendment need to be submitted as i traveled back to US with my L1B to make my H1B petition valid.

Kindly let me know whether i have to wait for the amendment to get approved and then join the company or can i join immediately?

They just have to file H1 petition again. You can join A after you get H1 approved.

Does it mean that compnay A has to apply for my H1B again in april 2009 like last year(file for the quote for H1B for 2009)?

no, they can file anytime.
