L1B Blanket and H1B - 2006

Hi Gurus,

Need help on following point

Currently I have two appointment dates fixed at consulate one at 20th Jun for L1B Blanket from my current company and 27th Jun for H1B from a consultant for which petition got approved on 2006. I have urgency to join my spouse who already left to USA few months back. Since L1B Blanket has high rejection rate, I have booked the PA date for H1B so that If L1B Blanket got rejected at least I will get a valid work permit on H1B.

Do you guys see any complicasies in this case?

Le us assume If L1B Blanket get held due to adminstartive processing, and If I apprea for H1B next week then what will be the status of L1B Blanket application?

Can someone let me know what all I have take care or keep a note while arranging the Interview dates one after another.

I think these 2 applications are indepedent. But when you get the 2nd visa, you may get your 1st visa cancelled.

So does it mean that two applications can go on paralle processing till a decission on one of them is made and then the other application will get invalidated?
