I am in US from June 2006 on L1A and my visa expires on Mar 2007.
I am a Manager at offshore and was a Project leader in US
My last Project came to an end suddenly due to various reasons on november 2006.
I have not got any other project or role as PM/PL in US,so working as a Team member at one of our Clients' place from Jan 2007
Now my company's Immigration dept changing my visa status from L1A to L1B mentioning my current position while filing extension this month(Mar 2007). I have Chances of getting Project Manager/Project Leader position after 6 months.
Meanwhile I have also got my H1B approved from company B on August 2006 after I reached US.
My queries are
1) Will it be any problem getting L1A again after 6 months?
2) My I140 process for GC not yet started, if I start it now on L1B and after 6 months if i get L1A status.
Did still I have to go through Labour process?
3) Can I change my status from L1B to H1B. Did I need to travel back to India for stampping?
4) Is my H1B still valid? if yes, H1B is valid for how many more months?
5) Also in between I have travelled to India on October 2006. Will it affect my H1 status
