L1 vs AP. What to use to re-enter US?

Hi,

I have filed I140/I485 concurrently (RD 03/29/07, PD is current, EB2, ROW). Also applied and already received EAD/AP (valid through 05/08/08). I also still have a valid L1 visa stamp (valid - 05/11/08).

Since I am leaving on a business trip, I am wondering what method I should use to re-enter the US. Should I use the (still) valid L1 visa or AP? What are the consequences of either approach. For instance if using AP to re-enter, will it void my L1 visa? What would happen if my I140/I485 gets denied. Will I still be able to stay on the L1 visa.

Any insight is appreciated.

You can re-enter using either. The L-1 is probably better.

No.

If you enter using the L-1, sure.
