L1 visa stamping with L2 already stamped

Hi,

I had a question regarding L2 visa. To give some background, my husband has L2 visa stamped and is currently in India (I am in US). His employer is offering to process his L1 visa. I have a couple of questions regarding this-

1. When he goes for his L1 stamping, will he current L2 visa be cancelled or effected in any manner?
2. In case L2 is cancelled during L1 stamping, is there a way he can apply for L2 again in case he doesn't travel on L1 (i.e. while he is in India)? If so, please let me know if there are any rules regarding that.

A2: I assume so. In that case, the L-1 will surely be cancelled
