L1 Visa documentation

I am working in a IT co. I am supposed to go to us on L1 Blanket visa. I do have a problem. My first employer closed the firm. I do have a experience letter, but nobody is there to verify. Is there any background check done generally for L1 blanket? If yes then tell me is it for last two employment or for all the employment? If its for all the employment then tell me what needs to be done to overcome this problem?
