My Query :
I am in US on L1 holding I-94 till Apr-08. I am expecting my H1-B (Quota 2007) Paper work to be cleared before mid of August. I am aware that I am allowed to work in US on or after 1st of Oct but I would like to know whether I can go for stamping to either Canada or Mexico before October which is going to be effective from 1st Oct and return back to US?. If we have this provision is this applicable in all the US Consulates in Canada & Mexico. In case If I am allowed to have stamping on Sep 1st week and if mine is approved will I be able to come back to US with a new H1-B or do I need to return back to my country?
