L1 to H1 Urgent Please help!!!!

Hi,
I am currently on L1B, a company is ready to file H1 for me. I just want to know effective 1st october will my L1 become invalid?

If I want to continue in my current job (L1) after october will my H1 become invalid ?

Please help me out. I need your advice urgently.

L1 to H1 Transfers with COS

As far as you maintain a legal status in US, nothing would get invalid.

I continued on L1 till Feb'06 and then switched on my H1 job which was approved on Oct 10 2005 as Change Of Status.

In my case, I even got my H1 transfered to another employer and then moved from L1 to H1.

Also, last month I visited India and got my H visa stamped( via the petition filed by my current employer )as well.

Upon Oct 1, your L1 status becomes invalid(assuming you filed I-539), and you can not keep working for L1 company.. You MUST work for H1 company from that date.
If you want to work for L1 company after Oct1, you have to go out, reenter the US and get new I-94 annotated as L1.
 
You can try, but keep it in mind that if stamp is rejected, you have to fly from canada to your home country.
