L1 to H1 transfer -- Urgent

Hi,

I am presently working on a L1 visa for a company A.
Company B had filed me for a H1B premium processing.
1. Can I continue for some more time (2 months ) for company A, even after approval of my H1B from company B?
2. Does company B need to immediately put me in their payroll and I have to resign my job at Company A?

Urgent - need you help. desperate

I am in a similar situation and I have been told that if the company B has applied for a "Change of Status" then your status is changed to H1 and you should work for company B, otherwise you need to exit the country and re-enter with your L1 visa to be able to continue with company A.
