L1 to H1 start date

Hello,

Im currently on L1. Filing my H1 this april.Im assuming this is a change of status. Am i eligible to start working on H1 once i receive my LIN number or should i wait until October 2006 or once approved, go by the start date.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but your replies would be greatly appreciated.

You need to satisfy both of following conditions to start working.
1. Your H1 start date has passed.
2. Your H1 was approved.

I guess the start date on the H1 approval will be sometime after october 2006 as its for next fiscal year.
