L1 to H1 - Stamping in India

Hi Guys,

I have a question. I entered US on April-18-2005 on L1-B visa through company A and stayed with them till Feb 3-2006. Immediately after that i move dto my new employer who filed my H1-B visa with COS and I am working with them since then.

But my change of status was filed in July and i got the approval on Dec-09-2005 but i remained with Company A till Feb-03-2006.

The questions i have are :
1) My current employer B wants to send me to india for 30 days on urgent bases. but as the regular appointment dates are not available so Can i take an emergency date because i have my previous petition papers of L1-B as well my new I-797 form for COS.

2) Do you guys suggest me to go to canada or mexico to get my visa stamped or I should get it stamped from India only.

Please reply on urgent bases.

Any pointers or help on this is highly appreciated.

Hi,

I have the same situation as explained above. Only difference is I getting my new H1 from the same company. Is it safe going to Canada for getting the H1 stamping. Do you have any updates.
