L1 to H1 stamping at Chennai - info needed

Hi,

I came to US through L1 visa. And transferred to another company here and got H1 visa. I have an approved I 797 petition valid until Sept 2008.

I need to go to India now. My L1 visa has expired. I have to go to Chennai consulate for stamping my new H1 visa.

What are the questions I can expect there. Are there any complications or problems attached to my stamping.

Any info regarding this would be helpful.

On another note, would it be helpful if I get my stamping at Toronto, Canada. I have an expired US visa, what would be the problems attached to this situation.
