L1 to H1 change of status from India?

Hi,
I am currently in US on L1(valid until Deb2009) from Company A.
Company B filed for change of status from L1 to H1 which is approved with start date of Oct 2007.
The plan is to join company B from oct 2007, but now company A wants me to come back to India.

1. If i go to india now, will i be able to come back to US in oct on H1?
2. Will this require stamping or can i just enter US with L1 and then join Company B?

3. Also, the comany A has promised to send me back to US in March of 2008. Will holding L1 visa and H1 approval cause issues during the immigration at airport?

You have to get H1 stamp next time you enter the US to work for B. Having L1 and H1 approval won't affect each other, but your L1 stamp will be likely cancelled when you obtain H1 stamp.
