Company A is sending me on L1B for 6 months starting frm June.
Company B is preparing to file H1B for me and I have been told by Company B that I can start working with them from October. However, I donot want to change my job before end of December.

1) Can I continue to work with Company A till the end of december and then change to Company B?
2) What will be my status after October if my H1 is approved?
3) Should I ask Company B to file my H1 as COS frm L1 or Consular Processing?

Yes, IF your H1 start date is set at end of Dec.

If your H1 start date is Oct 1, your status will be on H1 in Oct.
Make start date in petition in Dec.
