I am currently on an L1B visa, which is set to max out in November 2025. My employer has been submitting my profile for the H1B lottery for the past three years, but unfortunately, it has not been selected. My PERM application was filed in July 2024 and is currently under process.
My wife is on an H1B visa with approximately three years of eligibility remaining; however, she does not have an approved I-140, nor is one currently in process.
Given these circumstances, I would like to understand what options are available for me to remain and continue working in the U.S. Would pursuing further education be on F1 a viable path?
