L1 - H1 Transfer-Really very urgent

Hi

Iam currently working on L1 visa for company A. I got my H1-B approved for Company B. I have the following questions, can anyone answer my queries.Its really very urgent

(1) How long can I work for company A after my H1 is approved and becomes valid?

(2)Someone informs me that I cant work in Company A with L1 visa once my H1-B becomes valid. Is that true? What does validity mean here?

Please let me know more information regarding L1-H1 transfers.
 
I would recommend to start working for H1 employer once it's got valid.
it is said that there is 60 days grace period, but no one so far has pointed to law or memo for this, so that I wouldn't rely on that rumor. Lawyer may have access to these document though.
 
Can anyone confirm me regarding the grace period that GotPR has mentioned. Does it exist? I too heard from friends that there will be a 60 days grace period to switch the status. But, do not have enough information about it.

Any help will be highly apprecited
