Hi,
I stayed in US on L1 visa for 3 years through one company (29-Aug-2002 to 06-Aug-2005) and I came back to India and resigned to that company and recently I gone for H1 visa stamping through another company and it went through. Now my question is about staying period in US. My H1- expiration date is October-4-2008.Will I am eligible to stay after October-4-2008, if I do not file for green card. Because some of my friends told me that I can not stay for more than 6 years, if I do not file for my green card. Please clarify. Thanks for all your help.
