L1-B extension

Hi,
My L1-b visa and I94 are expiring 30 Apr 2010 and my employer filed extension on March 30 but haven't received any response from USCIS. If i do not hear any results from USCIS before 30 Apr 2010, is it legal to stay & work in US? Or should i leave the country before 30 Apr?

Please advice.

I believe you can stay as long as the EOS is in the process, but you cannot work beyond your I-94 expiry.

I have a similar situation. My L1-B Visa expires on May 07,2010. My I-94 expires on May 17,2010. Have applied for extension on April 07,2010. Yet to get result from USCIS. Guess I can stay till I get my result. I have a question here. Is it possible to travel to India and come back while is L1B Visa extension is in process?. Please clear me on this.
