L1 and having a 'company on the side'?

Hi

I'm in the US on a L1A visa and are wondering if it is possible to have my own company (likely a LLC)?

Not a serious big business; evening hours, from home, no employees and would take the business with me back 'home' when L1A ends...

Any advise?

Thanks

Thanks,

I see that there are restrictions to for who I can work or not. (have to work for the employer that sponsored the L1A.

However I'm still not clear on whether or not I can have my own one-man company next to my regular full-time L1A sponsored job.

If this is definitely not allowed then can I bypass the rules by having my company located in my home country?

Currently I receive my income from my home country and my employer uses tax equalization to comply with the US tax rules...

Hence.. my new and additional income would be foreign.

Anyone any experience with this? Just want to make sure I don't break the rules! :-)

Thanks
