L1-A and GC EB-1

Please bear with my ignorance, I'm a new comer to this forum.

I had been working for my previous employer in China for four years before I came to US for my master education on 07/20/03. I'm now offerred a position in the same company in US who can sponsor L1-A for me.

My questions are:

1) Do I have to apply for L1-A before 07/20/05 to meet the "working for the same company oversea at least one year out of the previous three years" requirement? If yes, do I have to start work before 07/20/05?

2) If I want to apply for GC through EB-1C, do I have to apply before 07/20/05 to meet the same "working for the same company oversea at least one year out of the previous three years" requirement? Or, in my case, the "three years" means "three years preceding my entrance to US as a F1 student". In other words, I can apply for GC through EB-1 anytime in future as long as I'm still under L1-A status.

3) Is there any travel restriction for L1-A visa holder, especially for a Chinese? (Like the expiration date / number of entries that H1-B and F1 has)

4) Is there any travel restriction after submission for GC application through EB-1C?

Just confused, please advice. Thanks.

Re: EB-1C (Multinational Firm Manager)

I did some research and my only question left now is:

As the last day I worked for the overseas subsidiary is 07/20/03 and I'm currently in US, if I want to apply for GC through EB-1C (Multinational Firm Manager), do I have to file the petition before 07/20/05?

In other words, I'm still confused about the "three-year period". Does it refer to:

a) Three years before the date of Green Card Petition, which means I need to apply before 07/20/05, or
b) Three years before entry with non-immigration visa - L1A, which means I need to leave and re-enter with L-1A, or
c) Three years before entry with non-immigration visa - F1, which means I can wait till later (no matter 1 year or 2 years later) to apply through EB1-C as long as I have L1-A.

Still confused and need immediate advice. Thanks.
