Please reply if you know. I got favorable recommendation from DOS. Now how much time this will take to get final approval from USCIS and are there any chances for denial?
According to webpage the Vermont center is dealing cases until March 20, 2006. I looked the Vermont center processing times and read the following" I-612: Application for Waiver of the Foreign Residence Requirement: Application for a waiver of the 2-year foreign residence requirement based on exceptional hardship or persecution: March 20, 2006"
My question is that this statment mentions the processing for cases based on exceptional hardship or persecution. Are the cases based on NO OBJECTION dealt in the same way or they take less time?
Thanks for your input.
To answer that Q and for applicants waiting for I-612 approval based on NO from VSC;
My case is here, not very great, fast case, a kind of normal regular one.
DOS recommended J-1 waiver on April 13, 2006
USCIS received April 18 and issue receipt letter and EAC case number.
From there I had been waiting for almost 7 months, I didnot contact service center since on line case assessment in their center show not on the April applications. I saw some people of our forum got USCIS final waiver, faster than me although DOS recommendation was later than me from same service center. It does not depend on country, look like different from case by case or person to person, officer from officer.
I got an email notification of USCIS final approval (CRIS) on Oct 30, 06.
I got USCIS final approval in mail on Nov 4, 06.
So, my case is absolutely regular, same processing date with their on line update. Now they look like processing on end of Mar and April, 06 DOS transferred cases.
Goodluck everybody!
