One of my friends in NY got the AVM saying that on 19th JAN 2001 RFE was mailed. His attorney is yET to receive RFE. Can you please share your experience about the time lag between mailing and actual receipt of RFE.

Please share your exp. at the earliest .

RFE issued on 12/22/00 (this is the date on RFE notice, do not know when INS actually mailed it), Received by attorney on 1/15/2001. . Responded on: 1/22/01 Waiting...
RFE was for employement letter.

Hi Kiran:
My attorney received RFE for employment letter from INS on 01/29/01. INS mailed to them on 01/22/01. IIO gave me correct information so far. What is the deadline to send the RFE reply?. do you know?. My attorney says it is 3 months.

Normally, it is 12 weeks. It is clearly mentioned on the RFE letter.

In my case the AVM said on Jan 17th an addtional information request is sent/mailed out ......My attorney got it on 18th in NY and the RFE is dated Jan12.. I have to reply by April 12th........ hope this helps
