Khatri's visit to Chicago - update!

Thanks for the update.

Can you provide some more information about Steve Tzikas. We need to contact him also.

The reason I ask is that his name sounds GREEK and if so, I can find his e-mail, phone number and communicate with him in any language. I can even move the Greek lobby towards him and get answers.

The same should be done with Mr khatri..move the Indian lobby towards him and get answers.

In this way, we can play the Ethnic lobbies for our benefit.

The same should be done with the Labor secretary and the Chinese lobby (Elaine Chao).

Interesting theory of playing the ethnic lobby, but your point makes sense. Basically, it is going to be one goal of making sure of USCIS moving fast and clear the backlogs, and lobbying is a catalyst to make that happen.

I have done it innocently by contacting a Philadelphia Inquirer reporter (Greek-American). In the article published i said if PA DOT did not change their policies somebody would SUE THEM. Next day, somebody was calling from the capital of PA. They can find not only your case, but your home phone number also. I got a promise that my wife will have a Permit with EAD...So it works. A reporter is not even a LOBBY.

To take it a step further our SPANISH friends should contact the Chief, Eduardo Aguirre and the chief of Citinzenship, another Spanish.

Vidongre,

Great job! It was very well done.

I also beg to differ from the person who stated above that Fax/petition/etc. don't work, they all help chip away at the wall of denial in front of us. If we don't draw attention to our cause, we will never win! It is not possible to meet all the officers/congress men/women personally. So petition/fax/letters are the way to go.

'Thank you' for your help in this regard.
Now that Khatri has got the petition and you have his email, we might be able to get some info. Also if we do not hear from him(2 weeks), we can assume that he is of no use.
We should then send him an email with threat of lawsuit. If he does not respond we should file the lawsuit.

Thanks for the excellent work and the great effort. I think we should not lose hope and try all means necessary to make this agency answerable to the taxpayers. I still feel that a simultaneous legal battle is also needed to turn the heat on.

vidongre, can you send him an email asking why BCIS can't approve all old cases in a timely manner, if those cases are just waiting for 2nd FP or a RFE.

Thanks all for the 'Thanks' :)

I've got Rajiv's contact details and I plan to send an email to Steve mentioning Rajiv as the main point of contact regarding the petition. I'm also copying Rajiv on the email so that he'll get Steve's email id. I'm also sending him the link with the petition and signatures.

As far as asking questions to Steve regarding backlog, I don't think he can answer any of those questions. Looking at the link that Cinta sent, looks like Steve is just an admin/assistant. So at the most we can use him as a stepping block to contact Mr. Khatri. Atleast we've got some way to keep in touch with Khatri. I would prefer that Rajiv, being the leader of this community contacts the ombudsman rather than me personally asking questions to Steve in email. As I said, I do not plan to use Steve's email for anything else but sending Rajiv's info to him.

Also if I can suggest, please keep the records(email, Fax sent confirmation etc.) with you.

POC (Point of Contact)

If I submit petition to local congressman if he/she asks whom should we contact about this petition? Can I give Mr.Rajiv S. Khanna details?
Thanks in advance
