Kenyan visa on an RTD no GC??

Has anyone travelled on an RTD to kenya ?? do the kenyans issue visas upon entry or does one have to apply at their embssy, and how speedy is the process??

Interesting that you ask about Kenya. An American friend is out there visiting. We did some online research and I think you want to visit the site for more information

ps: I think you cannot get a visa issued when you arrived. Clearly the process is longer for travel document holders.

You may want to use your national passport ?
 
Yes one needs a visa to Kenya. I had called the Kenyan Embassy and was told that once an application for a visa is submitted it is sent to the foreign ministry in Kenya for approval.It may take 2-3 months to get it.

If you have Americas passport, all you need is board the airplane and they issue a visa at the airpost for $50. Very easy process. But for a greencard holders, they must send application to Kenya and must be preapproved. I got it in 2003 for $400. In this year, I have tried to get one, but it is hard. I was told it costs now $800 now, and even with that money it is hard to find visa...
