Kanadian And Other Gurus - Did my Lawyer Goof RFE?

PLEASE HELP!

Instead of sending the RFE evidence to the proper PO box number (PO box 8521, Lincoln, NE 68501-2521 as on the self addressed envelope sent by USCIS with RFE), my lawyer sent it to 850 S Street, Lincoln, NE 68508. However, this was by Fedex Overnight. I noticed this in my (photo)copy of the issued self addressed mailing address which the secretary sent me.

But when I check all of previous filings eg, EAD, AP, 485 the above Fedexed address seems to have worked!

Do you think there would be a problem? Should I ask her to resend to the above PO box? Also please check this website for the PO box numbers and note the footnote in particular for private couriers.

Thank you for any suggestions!

If your lawyer used the enclosed envelope, how could they send it to a wrong place? If they did send it to a wrong address, send another one correct place. The Envelope should not be a problem.

Can any RFE filers provide a correct RFE address here based on your enclosed envelope?

I am preparing my RFE and I planned to ask my lawyer to send everything (his cover letter, the RFE, and the envelope) to me first. I will put everything together and mail it to NSC.

Hello Rolling Hills,
Remember: the envelope provided by USCIS goes into the Fedex. And the Fedex envelope should have the address:
850 blah blah
with PO box number 82521 (Just checked the NSC website).

Looks like my lawyer did not include the PO box number but 850 blah blah was correct.

I am breaking my head over why she did not include the PO box number 82521!

A righ NSC officer will have it even though 2 or 3 more days are needed. Did your lawyer put USCIS-Nebraska Service Center on the address?

P.O. Box 82521 is for General Correspondence (for anything), just like the 850 S Street.

Guess what?
She put :INS, Lincoln Service Center, 850 blah blah, Lincoln, NE 68508

INS - Non existant = no USICS
Lincoln Sevice Center = should be Nebraska Service Center
And as I mentioned earlier: no PO box 82521.

I have tracked with Fedex number. It has reached the 'destination'. But the sorting staff should see the envelope inside and forward it to the right PO box.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Make sure you do it right!

Don't worry! you are OK! INS or USCIS, Lincoln Service Center or Nebraska Service Center, P.O.Box or Street Number, it dosen't matter! Delivery men are smart enough to give your RFE to NSC.

you should be fine yar...dont worry. If within a week you dont see the update of lud and message then talk to your attorney.

I think your lawyer did the correct thing. Its mentiioned on USCIS website, if sending FEDEX/overnight etc., send to the 850 blah blah address and not to the PO Box. You are absultly fine. Rest easy. !
