K1 visa

HI,
My fiance has just recieved his interview letter for the k1 visa. My question is that is the date extendable ? if it is how long can it be extended till ? And what if I try to cancel this process,will be a problem for my fiance in the future even if I apply as a I-130/spouse visa?

Yes the date is extendable. Contact the consulate who is conducting the interview. Explain your situation, and they will make another appointment for you. I did this with the Sydney consulate in Australia.
