K1 Visa & Traveling

My boyfriend and I want to get married going the K1 route. He is a citizen of the Netherlands. My question is--is he able to travel outside of the US after we marry? If not, how long is it before he is able to? And also what is the process involved?

Many people have told me many different things including he's not able to travel for 3 years etc. and I need to get some clarity.

After marriage and filing of the required forms it takes 3 to 6 months at the most for a interview, when you file for him , there is a form for Advance Parole Document on which he can travel if he wishes to for those 3 to 6 months.
On the interview if he is approved, they will stamp his passport for GC and at that time onwards he can travel on that stamp which serves as a GC until he gets the actual cared usually within 30 Days of approval.

As soon as he enters the US on K-1 visa, he needs to marry you the next day and then file for AOS, including I-131. If he is lucky, he may get his AP document in 30 days. If it happens, he cannot travel for the first 30 days or so and then he is free to travel internationally.
