K-1 travel insurance

I was looking at Path2USA for the travel medical insurance, so my bride will have some medical insurance for a few months

I don't know which plan to get, it says visitors insurance, but my bride isn't going to be a visitor, so can I still buy it and they will pay, or will they say, sorry, she wasn't a visitor since she came here to stay

Do they have a "temporary resident" category?

I didn't see any temporary resident category, I only saw visitor and immigrant.

I don't see any problem buying the visitors insurance, because what is the big deal anyway, it's temporary insurance for someone that traveled here from another country, but I just don't want them to say they won't pay if we had to use it.

I guess this forum doesn't have many people in it.

I actually came on a K-1 but I was covered by my Ontario health insurance until I got married and then I was covered under my wife's coverage. Mind you, I got married the next day after I entered on my K-1.

Give people a chance to respond. Most people in the East Coast are at work while others in the West coast are probably just on their way to work.

Personally, I used US NET Care....I cant say how good they were as I never had to actually use them. Once I got my GC (US NET Care doesnt cover GC holders) I then went with Inbound Immigrant before work offered me insurance.

The problem with travel insurance is that should you wish to claim most (well every travel insurance company Ive used) need proof that you have returned to your home country (ie plane ticket stubs) before they will pay out.
