Our I-129 Approval expired on December 28th. We did not realize it until New Year's weekend when I took the I134s for both myself and the co-sponsor to my fiance in Canada. He was going to send his checklist to the consulate in Montreal tomorrow. Do we have to start all over because it expired before the visa was approved? If we do, Is there a fast track? We have been in the process since March 2006 and we just want to get married and get on with our lives. We are desperate. Can anyone help us?
Consulates have the authority to extend the 4 months validity of I-129F by another 4 months. Go ahead and send in the checklist. Montreal is a very helpful and flexible consualte. I got my K-1 there in 2002.
