Hello to all willing to help,
I am a disabled US veteran (100%), my VA compesation is 100% non-taxabe, I also draw SSI Disability, along with a US Posal service annuity (medically separated). The latter 2 are taxable and I pay my taxes.
I married my wife in China this month and am now starting the process of bringing her home. Between the three incomes listed above I make more than enough to provide 125% of the mean poverty level.
My concern is "Will the fact that my VA pension being non-taxable have an impact on my I-864 Affidavit of Support, since it is the bulk of my income". I was intending on sending a letter from VA stating my disability rating and monthly income with my paperwork, but would like to know if this is advisable also could any of this cause a problem for my wife and myself during our application process.
