Just called to NSC to know the status of my case.

PD: 05/2004 (EB2 India)
485 RD: 06/2005

He was a nice CSR. He told that NSC lines are not for regular customer service. Anyway, he told me that my file is in card production area and staying in tail end of the RD Q. He mentioned that thousands of files yet to be processed as they are going by RD only. I asked him wheter backgrond/name check is completed. He told that he can not answer. He asked my to raise a SR to know more about the security check.

My question to you guys. If my file is in final area, is it out of name check issues..?

Looks like you will get approval soon, if it is card production area. My dates are close to yours. Hoping & praying for an approval soon. I was told that mine has been assigned to an officer for review. We will be current from July 1st. SO hopefully see Magic Emails

I found this on Murthy forum: PD of 10/2004 for EB2 India has got approved! My PD is Aug 2005, some time to go, but this seems around your time frame!

Here it ends...my GC just got approved.I dont know if I am still in Dream or its happenning really...

My PD is Feb 10/2004 with 140/485 RD as Sept 12 2005 EB2 India.
Used Infopass,Called TSC for a SR and also the congressman.
Dont know what did the trick..
Self and Spouse I-485 AD 6/28.

I saw couple of luds on my case yesterday and today.But there is no approval yet.I need to wait till they finish 2004 and 2005 RD cases.

My mistake in interpreting this, his PD is Feb 10th 2004 not Oct 2004 as I thought!

My PD is Aug 2004, EB2 India, 485 RD is may 2005, Xferred from csc to nsc feb 2007, called up nsc said case has been assigned to an officer. was hoping to get approved in 60 days as this was time frame they gave at nsc. But with Retrogression rumours floating around, I'm very disappointed. can't wait till mon, tue to see what the bulletin says. I hope they are not going to make us wait another 3,4 years. I am really hoping that when they say its been assigned to an officer a visa number is allocated to my case & i don't become the victim of that retrogression again :(
Life Sucks, just when you think you are this close................
 
How did you exactly phrase your question

How did you exactly phrase your question to get relatively specific answers about "location" and status of your petition? Every time, when I get a hold of the officers, they do not give specifics about status, just refer to NCS.
(I know, it depends on the officers, but even if I get a nice sounding one, still the same result..)

in my case the online message says you will receive writtten decison in 60 days. In dec. I called NSC and received a letter saying my case in waiting for visa no.

Did you have an RFE? How did you get LUD? Did you initiate an SR? Or it just got updated, Even my case has LUD to RFE on jun 20th saying i should get decision within 60 days which is Aug 10th. I hope this new visa bulletin won't hurt us. Atleast we know they are working on our case.

I Received RFE on 485 on 07/06 about birth etc. I submitted it on 09/06. Then I had online message saying processing on my case has been resumed I should receive decision within 60 days. I called NSC on 09/20/06 even they opened a SR. Then a letter I received saying my case is waiting for visa number.
