Just spoke to IIO

I just called the NCSC number, the usual 1-800 to make a status enquiry. The representative noticed in the record (looks like they keep track of how many enquiries were made) that I had made 4 enquiries 3-4 months ago and she transfered to the IIO.

The IIO gave me a response that my case was never touched after I had responded to the RFE on 07/02/2003.

Its been picked up again on 03/24/2004 and mentioned that I might hear something within 30 - 60 days.

Will keep u all posted with the development.

Case assigned to an officer

Most probably, it means that your security/background checks are complete and your case has been assigned to an officer for adjudication.

Keep your fingers crossed! Goodluck!!!

Does it mean they keep track of how many inquiries we make from the web also or it's only the phone inquiries they keep track of?

I don't think there is a database field big enough to hold the count of the inquires that were made using case status online :D

Their systems would crash if they tried to do that. :p

Good One :)

I called customer service y'day but she never transfered me to the officer :D

Request the level one representative to connect to level 2 representative. It worked for me. If not try to confuse them and request them to connect to level to representative.

thanks buddy. I will try to call next month, if i still didn't get my approval.

GC478, this is a good news. Most likely you'll get an approval this month. I have talked to IIO officers like 15-20 times. Bascially, i have also done status inquiries 3 times and after that they allow you to speak to an immigration officer. The only drawback is that nowdays you have to wait 15-20 minutes just get hold of 800# representative.

Sam99, you can try calling again. You'll be wasting sometime, however if you get some nice chick she'll transfer you. Maybe you'll get more information on your case. I have a friend on Rupent, his case got approved yesterday. His RD is same as yours in November.

Let's hope the best for all 2001 filers and others...........

cheers
Have a nice weekend.
