I just heard, mine and my spouse I-485 were approved.
My details:
I-485 : India : EB-3 : Regular LC (through I have two masters degrees MS in Computer Sciences and MBA from USA), my lawyer went ahead with EB-3 option. That time in 1996, I did not paid too much attention to this, later I realized effects of India-EB-3 processing delays over time.
Area I live: Boston
PD: 6/24/1996
I-485 RD: 7/13/1999
I-485 ND: 8/2/1999
FP: 7/5/2000
Approved: 9/18/2000 (as per phone message -today 9/19/2000 around 5 PM, at today\'s lunch time, when I checked, message was still "Your I-485 received .....bla..bla..bla... processing takes 90-180 days etc.)
No RFEs. Once - on June 18th, 200, I contacted Congressman through web/e-mail, however on the same day - I saw FP notice sitting in mail box at home. Anyhow, they congressman office did responded in the following saying that I should be in receipt of FP notice and with in next 60-90 days, if I do not see any progress on my application, I sould call their office to follow-up. (Thank GOD, I did not have to wait for that!!)
It is a long ... long .... time. But some times patience pays. I do not it is good or bad.
I will post more, when I see official I-485 approval receipt amd then passport stamping.
