Hey! I just got my notice for appointment for my biometrics.

My local field office is in Fort Smith Arkansas and the scheduled date is 2 weeks from now.

Can I go early and just walk in to get the biometrics done?

The office is an hour away and I dont want to go and then be denied and have to do it all over again. Does anyone have any experience with the Fort Smith field office in Arkansas?

I don't think I'd make a special trip, that far, unless it was appointment day. It would be unfortunate to make that long drive only to be turned away.

I'm 35 miles from my support center - I happened to be in the vicinity 2 weeks before my appointment, brought my paperwork "just in case". They did take me (Atlanta DO). I wouldn't have gone all that way on a maybe.

I work just 5 blocks away from the USCIS field office (Baltimore) and I tried to get the biometrics done early since I was very close. The receptionist did turned me away when I tried it twice. I just decided to just follow my appointment schedule. I finally took my oath 2 weeks ago. In total, it took me around 4 months to get my USC. I'm not sure going early on the biometrics meant getting my citizenship early as well. But it doesn't matter now and would not know but I wouldn't recommend it especially you're travelling a good distance. Hope for the best.
