I am canadian and am in los angeles.
Just got my permanent green card.
Applied for it at end of march.Had bio appt end of may. Then mid june they sent request for more evidence.Mailed out new evidence around the 17 july and was approved on july 23!!
I did the whole process through an attorney. Was pretty cheap and worth it cause i didnt want to deal with any typo errors or other screw ups i would have made.Too much anxiety.

It tookl 90 days to get my GC with him...and the Permannet gc took about 60 days without the request for more evidence.Pretty damn fast from what ive seen on these boards.

Please note my evidence provided wasnt substantial in volume.I think our lawyer helped in this regard.

Anyway if anybody wants my attorneys number just ask.

I doubt you lawyer had any role in making it quicker... the processing times in CSC tend to be faster than VSC these days.

I agree, a lawyer would have nothing to do with how long it takes. Things are just going faster.

they wanted more evidence but didnt specify exactly what so i provided photos,an additional and latest joint tax return, joint bank statement etc...

i stated 10weeks because the request for more evidence caused a 4-5 week delay in processing.I would have been approved in early june had i provided enough proof the first time.

if the lawyer was so good, he would have reviewed your application package and told you that you needed more evidence which would have prevented an RFE.

I hope mine takes that amount of time :)

Congrats JNJ

Not to burst your bubble SpanisGirl but you need to get your conditional green card APPROVED first before concerning yourself with removing the conditions. You're at least 2.5 or more years away from I-751. You're probably mixing I-751 (Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence) with I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization.

Canadian_John and SpanishGirl are both "Canadiens" so they need not burst each other's bubble ;)

spanish girl,
my conditional (765?)green card took only 3 months!!The interview was not more than 5 mins.My wife and i were asked what our own birthdates were and then the officer looked at some papers and said have a nice day your approved. Our lawyer was present.

As for preatorians snide remark:
our lawyer did warn me about not providing enough evidence the first time round.
