Just curious and concerned, help me !! I-94 related

Hi,

I lost my H-1B visa and my wife's (H4). somebody broke into my car and took everything...shit !! Now, I have a new passport and wondering if I should apply for new I-94 card. I am planning to go back to my country next Feb.

I have a original I-797 and copy of visa and i-94 card. In this case, am i gonna be in trouble when leave US without original I-94 ?
Is there any case like this ? I have been searching for answers, but couldn't find clear advice so far. As you may know or not, it costs me $320 !! (for em and wife) to get a new I-94 card...

I don't want to do this unless there is problem to leave US. Or will it be problem to enter US next time ? Within my knowledge, visa is need to enter US and can leave without it, but I am not sure about I-94..

So please advise me..

Well, I guess I have no choice but to apply for new I-94. This sucks...whatever, just in case of problem..

A bit of advice..Do not have valueable stuff like your passport in your car!
And look, shit happens to the best of us...just don't offer up help in letting this kind of shit happen to you...let things that you cannot control happen to you.. :rolleyes: ..get my drift!!!!!!!!
