My friend here called the IIO to check his case status and was told that his priority date was not current, they have kept on hold. It may take about 6-12 months to approve his case.

I don\'t think EB/Country do matter after filing 485. Only ND matters after applying 485(provided PD is current).

That\'s right, PD matters. So if this guy is EB2 he is current but if he is EB3 he is not. So, once again, what EB category?

Sorry I\'m just really ignorant. What are PD, ND, FP, AD, RD? I\'m relatively new to the site and I would like to speak the language here. I\'m waiting to file my I485.

PD - Priority Date, ND - Notice Date of I-485, FP - Finger Printed date after filing I-485, AD - Approved Date of I-485, RD - Receipt date of I-485. RD is the date INS receives your I-485 application.ND is the date INS enters your data in their system. PD is the date of filing of your Labor Certification (LC).
