Found from the AVM, that our 485 was approved on Sept 19,2001. Called IIO once last week during the entire procedure and was told that the case was not assigned and could take between 30 and 60 days for adjudication.
Here are the details:

EB3, India
PD 1996
RD 10/00
ND 11/00
EAC # 01-031-xxxxx

Congrats first, It is intresting, when they said it will take 30-60 days, Why did they approve it in a week ?
Is this normal ?
When you called in a week, did the IIO say why you called with in a week, when they asked you to wait for 30-60 days ?

Clarification

I think there is some confusion. I called last week to check the status and the IIO said it will take 30-60 days. But, when I checked the AVM last night, I was surprised to hear that our I-485 has been approved and the IIO response was standard. This should provide hope for waiters who keep wondering if VSC is processing 485 after the tragic events of last week.
