I rec'd Jury duty summons today in mail, which i believe I am not eligible since I am still waiting for FP notice and then 485 Approval and hence I can't vote.
Has anyone else rec'd it before ? what do you have to do ? send them a letter explaining you still can't vote in county ??

You can go to jury duty only if you are a US citizen. So just write them that you are not a US citizen and so not eligible to participate in jury duty.

The jury duty letter will have instructions for claiming exemption. Just follow the instruction and include a copy of your passport (photo page as proof of Non-US citizenship) along with your letter.

Thanks

Cool. I am in Harris county.
I checked the site, it will work.
I will sign for disqualification.
Thanks, gcawaiter.

"Has anyone else rec'd it before ?"
Yes! two years ago

"what do you have to do ? "
Just call and tell them that you are not yet citizen

"send them a letter explaining you still can't vote in county ?"

Calling is enough!

It depends on where you live, I guess.
I know that here in North Carolina, as long as you reside (legally) in the county, you are eligible for jury duty. US Citizen, PR, non-immigrant, it doesn't matter.
