June 99 Approval

One of my friends received his 485 approval notice yesterday. According to him his RD is 6/7/99. He is EB3 India.

This is the first June approval I came across. Is anybody else in June approved ?

Yes I am "serious enough" since my priority date is Aug 06. Before posting this message I asked him twice if he was sure since we haven\'t seen May approvals yet.

I spoke to the IIO yesterday and she told me that they are currently processing JUN\'99 cases.

If what you posted is true, it is really crazy.

Who (or what) is AVRS. What is his Ph# in VSC.
Looks like it helps to follow up with AVRS.

Probably, they take all the cases irrespective of RD/ND and check the PD, If a PD is very old they are processing.

I am not sure whether this is true. Since we do not have a tracking list as we had in old Dis. forum.

They are trying to get to the goal of 12 months turn around by end of August 2000. Thus they will speed up to get to that by next month. You may be right about old PDs. Also there two other factors to be considered:
1. There is an Audit comming up next week. That means hold on all processings. That means they loose time for their Aug. goal. For all of us: More Processing Delay.

2. It looks like they are trying to get to as many cases as possible by Aug. All remaining cases they will say needed additional processing time due to complexity, yada, yada, ..., and say that they made their goal in most cases.

...just a thought!!
