Talked to an IIO today (6/12/2001) morning. She spoke nicely. She said my case was not assigned to an officer yet. She does not know when it will get assigned and how long it will take. She could not give me information on my spouse\'s application but mentioned that they should be together.
She also said that they were currently processing March 2001 for EAD.

Hello All:

Talked to IIO on friday afternoon. My case has not been assigned to an officer yet, however he did check my FP etc. and told me that they were fine. My Info is NSC EB3 PD 10/98 RD 5/19/00 ND 6/20/00 FP 2/6/01. I asked him if it is possible for him to notify someone as NSC is processing 6/00 cases and he told me that his supervisors have told him and other IIO not to send any e-mails.
So here it is guys, hopefully we will all get approved soon.

Because one IIO told me that they process applications based
on RD & not ND, I decided to jump one step up to the June board

I too got a message saying RFE was mailed. I think we have same ND. Waiting to hear from my lawyer ...
Any idea how long it takes for RFE to reach? Also, do all RFEs go to lawyer? Appreciate any input on this.

One of my friends got his RFE within three days. The RFE always go to the lawyers. It seems like our cases are with the same officer. I will share my RFE info as soon as I get it. Stay in touch and good luck!!!
Also my wife did not get any RFE which makes me believe that it has something to do with my employment verification etc. Lets hope for the best.

Thanks for the info. Mine may not be employment verification \'cos I sent my yellow form in May only. But you never know :) In my case too I\'m the only one with the RFE. Will keep you posted.

485BUG,
Lawyer\'s office received my RFE today. RFE is regarding parentage. Since my birth certificate does not have my mother\'s name on it, they have asked for - hospital records, medical records, school records, census records and/or church records with information about self and both parents. Now, if I do not have any of these, is it okay to just submit the affidavits from parents as mentioned by others on this web site. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

I am back in the US. My reply to your message might not be helpful as I am responding pretty late. Nevertheless, affidavits of two persons who can verify your birth as well as affidavits from your parents should be sufficient.
In my case, I am still waiting for the RFE notice, what a joke!!!
