I received y passport, but VISA is rejected for 221(g).

Reason:
Your application is not clearly approvable at this time.

and also mentioned to not submit for revalidation to DC office and asked to go oversead for personal interview.

They have crossed the employers letter, other than that they did not mention any reason. If they crossed that letter means, is that letter format is not correct?? Plz through some light.

For that matter last time i used the same format for stamping. i did not change my employer either. its an extension. I don't see any reason to reject it.

I am worried now as they stamped on my current visa which is expired in Aug12th saying "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE". What does it mean? Is it a problem? My I-797 /I-94 is valid till JAN 2007.

Please let me know, do i need to go immediately to INDIA to get it stamped? or no probs to stat here.. I am asking theis question as they stamped "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" on existing visa.

Does any body advise me, wheher i can send my application again to D.C?.

Do i need to put any of paystubs? i did not do that. i don't think i need to add them. As they crossed on the Employers Letter, it sounds like they don't like that format.

Dont worry Ajay,

You can get it stamped in India, when you go there. you dont have to rush to India for the stamp.

Dont worry about the "CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE" stamp. It just means that your old visa which has already expired, has now been cancelled without any hard feelings :) Thats the interpretation. So dont worry!! :)

I also got the same stamp on my old visa when I got my PP/Visa last week.

And as mentioned in the rejection, you cannot send ur PP again to DC. They won't accept it. You have to get your visa revalidated @ the US consulate in India (you dont have to rush in though). You can stay within the US as long as ur petition is valid.

The problem is not the employment verification letter. They normally cross the employment letter once they verify it. I have sent my passports for the 3rd time in US and every time I get stamped passports and employment letter crossed out back. Maybe they want to ensure that you get a fresh letter everytime and do not reuse it. It seems that there may be some other issue like out of status issue or change of status within US etc.

My earlier visa was expired on Aug12th this year and my case is not change of status or change of employer or not 7th Year extension. I am on H1 since begining and this is an extension with the same employer.

As the friends suggested here, i don't send it to D.C again and don't either rush to India now...Shall do it when i go India as no problem to stay with valid I-94.

Anyways..thanks for all your replies. It is just matter of LUCK...which i don't have probably!!!

Good Luck to all whoever is waiting for passports and i wish you all will get pp's with stamped visa soon unlike my case.

Passports received with visa stamp

Hi Guys,

Received passports(H1 and H4) with visa stamp.

Sent St.Louis: 8th July 2004
Received St.Louis: 9th July 2004
Visa Stamped on 26th Aug 2004
Fedex picked-up on 31st Aug 2004
Received 1st Sep 2004

Some times may be they will not send immediately as soon as they do stamp on passport.

anyone here with L1 visa revalidation??? Does L1 and H1 processing times differ?

I called DC and was successful this time. The lady took my passport number and informed me that my app reached DC on July 28th and it is still under processing.

I called DC after I saw the previous post. I found that my app reached DC on August 25th and it is still under processing. I had told the agent that I was considering withdrawing it and so I wanted to confirm that the passport had reached D.C. To my surprise, she said it takes 5 days and that she would personally start the withdrawal process. and that I should send the fax anyway. I had to back off and then tell her that I would think over it...

Did your app reach DC on July 25th or August 25th? In the above post, you have July 25th in your description and Aug 25th in the status column. Please confirm...
