You'd better wait as much as possible to let them time to find your passport. If still not found, get new passports at your consulate and ask DC to return your money. However, if they find your passports and stamp them after you get new passports, the new visas will remain valid.

And it's always best to consult an attorney...

thanks guys. I dont think I'm going to get a new
passport before Sept 30 anyways. Eventhough
I get one I'm not going to send that to DC. I'm going
to wait another 2 weeks patiently if they could
find my passport. Yesterday when I called up
I'v been told that DC is doing whatever they could locate
the passports. So lets see.

Though my case has a little complication. I am on 8th year of H1B. I did not get my passport stamped for the 7th year. Meaning, expiry date on my passport was 07/13/2003.

221g - refusal

Mine got rejected under 221g-not clearly approvable..
Reced. date - 9th July'04, i got it back on 17th sep'04

anyone else with the same problem ?

Does anyone have an idea when exactly I should check the tracking info for Fedex. In short, when exactly Fedex picks up the packages from DC and updates their info.

I talked to a lady in DC, she didn't give me any info, but she told me that it will take 3 months for them to process :mad:
