July visa bulletin out!!

May be they are still in the process of updating the website and the dates may change for EB3 India.

If the dates continue to move slowly, will they take a big jump in Octoboer bulletin when fresh visa numbers will become available?

EB3 India has just moved one week, to 15APR01 and mexico does not have any movement. Are there many 245i cases from India than Mexico during that Apr 2001 period?
I agree with you. Just I was thinking that. Definitely there are many 245i cases from India than Mexico during that Apr 2001 period . :(

Not exactly

Mexico may not have that many EB-3 workers. So it's date has moved a bit further. India has a large number EB-3 workers and so it's slowly crawling. Most of the 245i cases will come under EB3-OTHER category. Also the country limit might have kicked in at this time of the year. Things should start looking up come October. I'm happy that the dates moved by 8 days. Remember last year they became unavailable during the July Bulletin.

Remember EB3 India has only 9800 Visa # per year (140000 * 7/100).

Ekka.

I do not think that 245(i) cases are the ones slowing down India but the huge amount of adjustment of status filings made by all of you who came here by legal paths, for example H1B visas.

If it was not for 245(i) cases, Mexico could have been kicking along the world wide category or even "Current" however people like me have to thank to all our Illegal Alien Mexican Nationals for comming here and screwing the "few ones" who did not crossed the border ilegally.

Other thought is that the current protests and boicots made in recent weeks by Pro Illegal Immigration groups waving Mexican flags with a lot of proud are putting a different perspective in the eyes of DOS at the time to write down the dates for Mexico.

Fairly speaking onces the May 1st hurdle is passed Mexico should rocketeer to the world wide category in a month or two.

India EB3

Guys and Gals,

It is truly puzzling that India EB3 is behind every other country now. I am not sure what the rationale is behind that. I understand that there are 245i cases pending but the majority of them are not from India. If 245is are truly flooding the system then World Wide EB3 should not have seen the movement to Oct 01. India EB3 has been retrogressed since OCT 05 and the only explaination is that most of the 7,000 visas alloted to India during the fiscal year have been used up or the DOS and USCIS expects them to be used up when the dates of India move thru April. They did the same for World Wide and China when they were in April but when they saw no flood of cases with April 2001 PDs, they started moving the dates for these countries. For India they are either being very cautious thru April or the most of the 7000 visas have been used up and they know that the remaining will get used up when India EB3 dates move thru April 01.

I think India EB3 will be moved to April 30th in the next bulletin (if there is no flood) and then if in August there is no flood India EB3 will be moved past April 01 and the move at that point maybe into June or July 01. On the flip side if a lot of India EB3 cases before April 15th 01 start coming thru then the dates will not move beyond April thru the rest of the fiscal year. If the dates move to the end of April 01 in the August bulletin then it will be slightly better news, if not then we are in for a long long wait.

As for Oct 06. There is growing concern that most of the pending labor cases in the BECs will flood the system later this year. That may eat up the numbers for fiscal year 07. Again this is speculation.

I know all this sounds really depressing but this is the most realistic analysis that I could come up with.

Its roughly 234 per month eb3 visas for India.

I guess the 7% max per country for entire EB category.
If all other countries has pending applications more than
130200 then india will get only 9,800 EB visas.
If EB1 and EB2 has sufficient numbers then
EB3 for india roughly 9800*28.6/100=2806.
which is just 700 per quarter and 234 per month.
Which is small drop in ocean for indian techies.
Thats why India is slow even though
india hasn't many applications pending before 2001 april 31.

EB3 = 28.6 % of 140,000
EB3-IND = 7% of EB3 = 2806 Visa numbers per year.

If u consider the spouses that means about 150 approvals per month for EB3-IND.

13th is a unlucky number for Indians...

This Visa Bulletin cleary shows that 13th is really unlucky for Indians...No Visa movement and all stuck. I am sure that the if the Visa Bulletin comes out on 11th it will have some good surprises for all of us. :) Keep looking for dates on Visa bulletin.

you guys got it right........my estimate is that since india has exhausted all its visa.....uscis will not move india all categories much for the next few months (since it does not want india to eat visas of other categories)......but i am very optimistic of a big movement in Sep-Oct bulletin because right now even china EB1 has become current.....EB1-world and EB2-world were already current that means we can optimistically expect that we will get some overflow into india.....but that may not be applied till sep-oct.

EB2 World is current, therefore it would overflow to EB3, right ?

Anyone knows how the EB2 World overflow works ?
If EB2 World continues current, that would overflow to EB3 World and other countries as well, correct ?

EB2 World overlflow to EB3 World.

I don't think this is a rule ...

Guys and Gals,

Although I am not certain on this, I believe that overflow of visas does not restrict certain visas to go to only certain categories. If EB2 is current then the extra visas will be used for the oversubscribed countries. I am sure they use some sort of metric but I don't think there are any rules that restrict EB1 China overflows to go only to China.

Can you try your number magic for July 2010

I tried out some numbers at random..this one worked.

Hi Kodak57,

It looks like you at least have some luck with numbers(in some way). Can you keep trying and see if you could dig out the future visa bulletins and lay it all out for the benefit of all the aspiring immigrants. As many as you can. My guess is that they have it all prepared for another decade in advance as one needs anything but brain in preparing the bulletins.

EB3 World & others done until September 2006

Based on the remarks that things may slow down and or actually retrogress further, I don't think there is reason to be anxious about the next visa bulletins anymore. I learned that USCIS/DOS don't write those remarks in vain.

My only hope is that EB1->EB2 World overflows to EB3 World in October. Then the new fresh batch of 140K visa kicks. Then who knows, perhaps that could send EB3 World to April 2002 and India could advance as well.

Talk to you about the visa bulletin in September, guys.

It is a cycle which repeats

Friends
In 2004 one of my friends who had experienced "Retrogression" in 1990s told me "You guys are lucky since all EB categories are current" and had told me about this game:
Eagerly waiting for Visa Bulletins every month
Feeling frustrated when the Visa Bulletin is out and venting out the frustrations
Again looking forward to the next Visa Bulletin

Little did I realize at that time, I was also destined to be participating in the same game soon.

We will wait for our time patiently! The pendulum will swing back and forth a few times but eventually will cross our PD and bring our GCs :)

PS: My friend did not pack his bags and go back. He waited for his time and eventually became a US Citizen.
