July is Ending: Only 33% August Approvals!!!!!

Guys,

July is ending and we have only 33% (110/326) approvals as per rupnet.com.

At this rate, August cases seem to suck at least upto Aug20th/2002 dates.

I don't see September cases starting until 8/20 unless VSC's PR folks want to superficially show Sept. approvals before completing Aug. cases.

Is that too pessimistic a view?

Not pessimistic. My case is 8/15 and it hasn't even been assigned to an officer. Once assigned, it takes a anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for them to make a decision
 
I did a little scatch book analysis in spare time for rupnet.com's Aug cases:

Aug1-10:
Approvals: 39/112 with max. 9/12 approvals for RD 8/7 and min. 3/15 for RD 8/9 (which is unfortunately mine too :mad: :mad: )

Aug 10-19:
Approvals:26/95, max. 9/18 for RD 8/15 and min. 2/13 for RD 8/16

Aug20-31:
Approvals:44/118, max. 12/22 for RD8/27 and min. 6/16 for RD 8/20

There are some dates with no approvals at all.
A poor 9/26 approvals for RD 8/1, the first date of the month.
And 0/9 for RD 8/30
RD 8/7 has max. 75% approvals

Hope this might be worth some info.

This is very strange.

VSC is not fair to keep waiting some group of people for prolonged time for services and at the same time they render at very fast pace to another group people.

We August filers, at least in my case VSC took nearly 3 months to make a initial notification and they took more than 4 months to issue EAD , AP though all applications were send along with I-485 application. FP was done 7 months after recept.

Now a days I am hearing , they issue I-485 recepts within 1 to 2 weeks and EAD,AP etc all within a couple of weeks. Some people applied for I-485 in early May 2002 did complete FP in July 02 !- such amazing speed.

People like us ( those applied in June-Aug) also paid the same amount of fee , but no justification for so much parity in services provided to us.

What do you think? Looking at the pace August approvals are going on, was it the same way when July'01 approvals were at their peak?

For August, I am seeing roughly 15-20 approvals on rupnet per week based on approval emails at my personal email id from rupnet for Aug'01 cases.

Your feedback is highly apprceiated.
 
End of September

IMHO August will drag on till the end of September. This estimate is based on

1. July approvals, which have started in mid March, went on till end of June. That is 3.5 months in total.

2. August has roughly same number os cases as in July. The current no. of cases on rupnet is 326 for August. I am sure it will go to July level (375) as we go on.

3. August have started in mid June. So it would go upto end of September if we assume that it will take same time as for July (3.5 months).

4. Even after end of September, there would be some unlucky August guys in the same way as we have some pending July cases without even an RFE.
 
maybe not

1. When VSC was doing july caes.. they were also doing may and june cases (july was started in parallel)

2. August cases had started tickling in the month of May.. not june)

3 This time they are doing only August cases ( no sept or oct cases in parallel).. so they are expected to finish aug earlier compare to july even if workload is same.

only a thought though because at times VSC seems to divert its attention to other issues than I-485 ( for ex.. they might start paying more attention to citizenship cases for military personnel which was recently granted by Bush)
