Hello,
I would like to discuss the different types of changes in the "case status" from the website to an Asylum outcome.
I know from a fact that after your asylum interview (affirmative), the status changes to "Decision Pending", and from a recently approved person, their status change to "Fees were waived" and about a month later to that status change, they got in the mail the approval notice and work permit.
Now, how would this status change in the website look like if it were a negative decision? May be something like 'Notice of Intent Mailed'? or would it change at all? or you would just get the denial letter on the mail?
Also, a post note, why do some officers take one week in average to reach a decision and others take months? Shouldn't the asylum office and its employees have a standard across the board?. And I am taking from basically a pretty much the same asylum case with the same facts, arguments, and evidence just different individuals in the same household with separate asylum applications but some got their decision within a week and others still waiting after a month.
Thanks in advance!
