My RFE was for two pay slips, two years back federal taxes, w2s, schedules, and a new letter from my employer. It took over a week--thanks to the Labor Day holiday for me to get it all together. Not to mention the anguish of discovering this at the worst time of the year in my profession--the first week of the academic year, and the year I come up for tenure....

Now, theoretically at least, we know that this arrived at VSC today, but it looks like they take a week to open it. I'll keep you posted on the details.

Hopefully we'll all hear soon and it will be positive.

Meanwhile, I'm about to drop another $120 plus photo cost for another EAD. As this is NOT our fault, you'd think they'd just let us renew it for free for another 6 months. It seems like most RFEs are just random, INS fault, doctor's fault, whatever...

This may sound crazy.. I am delighted to hear these words on AVM.

I was told that the officer requested more information in my case in 14th of August and the AVM changed to "RFE issued on 11th September..." just today. I was browsing many posts here and noticed that people were mentioning having been issued RFE today. So I checked mine.

Anyway I am hoping that this bullock cart ride in the long dark tunnel may be close to ending.

I will keep you posted on details. :D

EAD expiring on 10/30/02 so I got it renewed.

A small suggestion, stay away from these websites for a few days till you hear from your attorney. That is what I did between Aug 14th thru the first week of september. I came back once I had some useful info to share like EAD renewal and my RFE notice is on the way. I know it is very tough hanging in, especially when you see many others getting approved. In my case nearly 12 people who applied along with me are approved except me. Can't help. Good Luck

AD still waiting -- donot know when this wait is going to be over.
The concern is that my EAD and Parole are expiring in Nov and I am planning to got India in nov. Don't know if I should renew or wait till mid October and then Walkin for Parole and file the EAD renewal. Any ideas.

RFE received

I just called the AVM and found out that my
RFE was received 9/13.

I sent this in on 9/10 by Fed Ex priority service
so it would have arrived there 9/11 by 10:30.

Is this fast for VSC because it seems like it to me.

The voice message, however, said the standard
540 days to process but mentioned that processing
was complete in this case. While I know that is
standard, I am so paranoid by now, that I expect
the worst. Not that I have changed my job or anything.

By the way, what is this with INS only working until 4 p.m.!!!
I called to change address and found out they were already
closed at 4:10 p.m. If I was that backlogged I'd have them
there until at least 6 each night (staggering shifts)
and hire an evening shift.
 
My case is approved.

Hi guys My case has been approved. My RFE was received by the INS on Aug 28 and the case was approved on Sept 11th..:D
