hey guys,
recap of my case: got married to USC, legal in US til Oct 06, both just finished college and are lacking work history W2s etc. We both started working after this tax season. I have substantial cash saving which i'm transferring to the US. So Affidavit of Support might be an issue. We've got plenty history together e.g. joint bills/lease etc.
how much would an immigration lawyer cost in SoCal San Diego (anyone know any good websites to get qoutes?), I presume that they work with a flat fee for immigration cases? Whats the max i should be paying?
also i'm not sure as to who qualifies to be a joint sponsor? the CIS document just talks about that a joint sponsor needs to have sufficient funds. And I don't have any family in US (except my mom's cousin), and my wife's family is out of the question. but i have plenty friends who will sign the paper work. also i'm starting a new job in a month which will allow me to sponsor myself come interview time.
thanks for all the help
