Joint accounts questions

bad bank

hi, everyone:
I have some join account question also, but not really related to credit issue here. hope it is ok

Me and my husband have seperate checking account before we are married(of course) but both account are from the same bank.
After we are married, we try to combined the account, however, our bank couldn't do it (we might spend 6 hours 5 visit in the bank about this account issue) after all the troubles, the only thing bank can do is give both of us the ATM card for the access of our each account.(so my husband has access to my account and so does he to my account) We dont' want to close either of our account because we both have direct deposit from our work to those account and some other links to it.

So my question is:
Do you think we can just make the copy of our ATM card that shows the same account number but with different name to prove we are sharing our
income?

thank you so much for any fee back :o

That sounds strange. I think the bank did something wrong - opening a joint account is not a big deal, with or without a SSN, regardless of credit. When we got married, we just added my name to my hubby's account, it was very easy. Back then I didn't have a SSN and my hubby's credit was bad. It didn't affect my credit in any way at all.

And you can always change your direct deposit at work - it shouldn't be a problem for the Payroll department.
