Does anyone know if you can join U.S military and get USC or you have to be discharged honorably to be eligible?

If I am correct; to be elligible for fast tract citizenship through the millitary; You must be a greencard holder, and serve in the army in one year in combat zone. After you serve the one year, you can apply for it. You don't need to be discharged at all. You can apply while still enlisted or after discharge; but the issue of disannorable discharge is a whole another issue, and I am not sure how that affects the process....

Because it is now war time, you can apply for citizenship immediately upon joining the military. There is no waiting period. You can get naturalized as fast as they can process your application.

If you are discharged from the military under less than honorable conditions they have the power to revoke your citizenship.
